About this Kite Kit: A frequent kite found in Asia is that of the "serpent or cobra" kite.  With the head being the sail, and the body or long tail giving it a wonderful flying presence, visual for all to see.  Greg Kono, kite artist, has taken two large 11" x 17"  sheets of white bond and designed the serpent or cobra kite similar to those built and flown by all ages in Asia. Bamboo spars, string on winder.

Recommended Age: Age 8 and up.

Decoration: The simplest method would be to use marker pens, but substituting the bond paper for more interesting light weight paper with color or patterns would work. Note: Do not increase the weight of the paper, matching the weight of the bond paper supplied is critical in the flight of this kite. 

Ideal wind conditions for this kite: Medium (a flag on a pole is steadily moving...but if the flag is flying straight out, it's too much wind!)
