Designed by Mary Yoshimi, this simple-to-construct flat kite flies well in light winds. The small size of this kite makes for easy construction in cramped classroom workspace. Either representational or abstract design compliments the sode shape.

Decoration: Decorate with markers, crayons or ink.

Recommended Age: Appropriate for ages five and up. Great for integrating with primary-level and intermediate-level study of Japanese culture.

Ideal wind conditions for this kite:  Light (flag on a pole gently moving, not fluttering) to Medium (a flag on a pole is steadily moving, fluttering).
