In the 1990s, the kiting community took interest in the making and trading of cloisonné pins to give Kitemakers the ability to leave something of their work with their community of kite makers. These pins became collector’s items and in the spirit of the pin movement, Drachen Design invited artists to design their own kites in the form of pins.
